High Performing Charter School
North County Charter School received the honor of High Performing Charter School from the Florida Department of Education. NCCS is the only elementary charter school in Indian River County to receive the title.
To be designated high performing, a charter school must have received at least two school grades of A and no school grades of B during each of the previous three school years. Additionally, the charter school must have received unqualified opinions on each financial audit in the most recent three fiscal years and not have received findings of any financial emergency conditions.
In addition, NCCS continues to be an A-plus school and is one of only three schools in the district of Indian River County to meet the federal No Child Left Behind Act's (NCLB) Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) requirements. NCCS also is a five-star rated school on GreatSchools.com.
